Responding Through Design - Designing with Type

Welcome to the beautiful world of typogaphy. There is so much more to it than banging on a keyboard. The written word can, visually, come to life in the hands of a skilled typographer. It can emphasise tone of voice, mood and movement. We all experience typography, directly or indirectly, every day of our lives and this assignment has been created to demonstrate how type styling and an awareness of positive and negative space can change the look, feel and dynamic of a word. This project consists of 3 parts and will be preceded by an introductory workshop.
